Commercial Robbery – Arrest: C24-74793

On April 5, 2024, at approximately 3:30 p.m., an adult male attended a sporting goods store in the 500 block of Sterling Lyon Parkway. While inside the business, the male selected an item before fleeing, making no attempt to pay.

An employee followed the suspect, at which time local security was notified. The employee continued to follow the suspect when a confrontation erupted. The suspect produced a knife, and the 31-year-old male victim sustained minor injuries.  

West District General Patrol officers, responded and located the suspect still in the area. The male was arrested, the weapon was seized, and the stolen property was recovered without further incident.

While in custody, the suspect was also found to be in possession of a break-in tool, contradicting the conditions of a previous Release Order.  

Deacon James HOULE, 21 years old, has been charged with the following:

- Robbery

- Assault with a Weapon

- Possession of a Weapon

- Possession of Break In Instruments

- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 4

He was detained in custody.
