Commercial Robbery – Arrest: C24-60435

On March 18, 2024, at approximately 12:25 p.m., a male operating a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze became involved in a motor vehicle collision in the area of Chief Peguis Trail and Lagimodiere Boulevard. The male fled the scene and failed to exchange particulars with the other driver.

A short time later, the same male suspect attended a mall in the 2300 block of McPhillips Street while armed with a hatchet. While having his identity concealed, the suspect began smashing glass display cases at a jewellery store and stealing numerous items. The suspect again fled the area in a vehicle.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., the suspect was located in the same vehicle while parked in the 700 block of Broadway. He was taken into custody, and the stolen jewellery was recovered.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation.

Nathan Richard DUNSMORE, 24 years old, has been charged with the following:

- Robbery

- Disguise with Intent

- Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was detained in custody.
