Mischief to Property – Request for Public Assistance: E24-4706

On February 13, 2024, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service’s Major Crimes Unit entered a Mischief to Property investigation after receiving an online damage report from a retail business in the 900 block of Empress Street.

Through their investigation, investigators learned an adult male had entered the business with soil/mud in his hands, which he immediately placed into separate bulk food storage bins near the entrance. The suspect proceeded to exit the business and flee on foot. The bulk food was rendered unsellable and cost the business an estimated loss of $2,000.

Investigators seek public assistance in identifying the male suspect pictured below, who is believed to be involved in the incident. He is described as:

- An adult male, approximately 25-35 years old

- Approximately 5’7” to 5’11” in height with a medium build

- Darker hair with a goatee and partial beard

- Wearing a dark-colored hooded jacket and light-colored loose-fitting pants
