Homicide – Arrest: C24-28849

The Winnipeg Police Service previously released surveillance images of two suspects involved in the murder of 19-year-old River HARPER on February 7, 2024, in the 300 block of Assiniboine Avenue.

After receiving assistance from the public, investigators have identified both individuals. 

On February 23, at approximately 2:00 a.m., General Patrol members from the Central District arrested a 20-year-old male, Jadar MORRISON, in the 500 block of Grey Street. He was turned over to members of the Homicide Unit.

MORRISON has been charged with Manslaughter and detained in custody.

Also identified is a 21-year-old male, Jrayden MONIAS (seen in the image below).

The Homicide Unit is continuing to ask for the public’s assistance to locate MONIAS, who is wanted for Manslaughter.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Jrayden MONIAS is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508 or anonymously at 204-786-TIPS or online at winnipegcrimestoppers.org.

Do not make contact with MONIAS, as he is considered dangerous.
