Search Warrant/Drugs & Firearm – Arrests: R24-4790

On February 6, 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Community Support Unit from the West District, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Maplewood Avenue.

As a result of this investigation, four people were taken into custody. The following items were seized, including over $10,000 worth of drugs and a firearm:

  • SKS-15 Kodiak Rifle & ammunition
  • 93 grams of cocaine (estimated street value $9,300)
  • 29 grams of methamphetamine (estimated street value $1,450)
  • $13,000 Canadian currency
  • drug packaging materials

A 45-year-old male, Cory John OGER of Winnipeg, has been charged with the following ten offences:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Breach of Recognizance
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regs
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition
    Order x 2
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 2

He was detained in custody.

A 36-year-old female is facing the following ten charges and was released on an Undertaking:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • CC 91 Unauthorized Poss of a Firearm
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regs
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 3
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking x 2

A 34-year-old female is facing the following five charges and was released on an Undertaking:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Weapon
  • Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regs

A 45-year-old female is facing the charge of Store Firearm or Restricted Weapon Contrary to Regs, she was released on an Undertaking.
