IIU – Investigations

Between January 26 and January 27, 2024, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to two incidents that resulted in referrals to the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU).

On January 26, 2024, police responded regarding a commercial robbery at Garden City Shopping Centre.

On January 27, 2024, police responded to a domestic-related incident in the 200 block of Fairlane Avenue.

The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba (IIU) has been notified and has assumed responsibility for the investigation. Please direct any follow-up inquiries to the IIU.
