On January 11, 2024, General Patrol members from the East District responded for the reports of three teenage students robbed while walking to school in the Elmwood neighbourhood near Chalmers Avenue.

Police met with the victims, who reported that between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m., during their walk to school, they were all separately confronted by an unknown male with a weapon who demanded their personal property.

Nobody was physically injured, and the school has sent out a notification to the school families.

The suspect was described as wearing a ski mask and a dark jacket with the hood pulled up.
