Assault Investigation - Public Assistance Requested: C23-280314

On November 18, 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service received the report of an assault that occurred in the Garden City area involving a 64-year-old female victim.

On November 17, 2023, at approximately 5:30 p.m., the victim was waiting for her bus in the 2300 block of McPhillips Street when an unknown male confronted her. The male appeared agitated, and after a brief conversation, the male forcefully pushed the victim from behind, causing her to fall to the ground. The victim sustained injuries requiring medical attention.

The male suspect fled in the company of a female, and a passerby assisted the victim.

The suspect is described as:

- Male

- In his twenties

- Approximately 6 feet tall

- Thin build

The Major Crimes Unit continues to investigate.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, as described and shown in the images above.
