Fatal Motor Vehicle Collision: C24-3741

On January 6, 2024, at approximately 2:40 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision in the 500 block of Notre Dame Avenue.

The investigation has determined that a 56-year-old male driver of an Infiniti QX60 attended a carwash and entered via the overhead garage door. It was at this time the driver struck a pedestrian who is believed to have been lying near the entrance. The pedestrian, a 48-year-old male, was transported to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced deceased.

The investigation is continuing by members of the Traffic Division.
