Drug Trafficking – Arrest: C24-4062

The Central District Community Support Unit (CSU) became involved in a drug investigation in a Spence neighbourhood after receiving numerous community complaints about possible drug activity occurring at a residence in this area.

Their investigation culminated in a search warrant being granted for a residence in the 500 block of Furby Street. On January 6, 2024, CSU and the Guns & Gangs Unit executed the search warrant at this residence, and several individuals were taken into custody.

A small quantity of crack cocaine was seized along with drug trafficking paraphernalia and a BB firearm.

A 39-year-old male, David Francis AMYOTTE of Winnipeg, was charged with the following offences, and the other individuals were released without charges.

-  Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine

-  Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

-  Possession of a Weapon
