Shooting – Investigation: C24-70

On January 1, 2024, at approximately 1:30 a.m., General Patrol officers from the Central District, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team and the K9 Unit, responded to the report of a shooting incident at a lounge in the 200 block of St. Mary Avenue.

A female inside the lounge suffered a gunshot wound, and the suspect fled the scene. Police provided emergency medical care, including a tourniquet, and the victim, in her 20s, was transported to the hospital in stable condition. No other parties were injured.

The Major Crimes Unit is investigating and does not believe the victim was an intended target in this shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
