On December 1, 2023, at approximately 10:20 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of an unresponsive male lying on the sidewalk on the north side of the St. Vital Bridge.

The male was transported to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced deceased. He has been positively identified as a 63-year-old male, and family notifications have been made.

It has been determined that earlier in the evening, the deceased was at an establishment in the 700 block of Osborne Street North with a group of people. At approximately
8:30 p.m., the deceased left the business in the company of an unidentified patron, described as:

- a white male

- 50-60 years old

- he had a beard and longer hair, both with light brown/grey colouring

- wearing a light-coloured shoulder satchel, flat cap, glasses (possibly reading glasses)

Investigators would like to speak with this male as he is believed to have information regarding the circumstances surrounding the death of the 63-year-old male.
