Update:

On December 6, 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service located a suspect in the 500 block of College Avenue for the murder of Ava Zaber on November 21, 2023.

A 20-year-old male, Brent Jayden MEADE, of Winnipeg, has been charged with Second Degree Murder and detained in custody.

As previously released:

A 20-year-old female was shot in the 400 block of Burrows Avenue and later succumbed to her injuries. 

The deceased victim has been identified as Ava Marie ZABER of Winnipeg.

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit is continuing to seek information regarding this incident.
