On November 29, 2023, at approximately 8:45 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a store in the 600 block of Notre Dame Avenue for a report of a stabbing involving a male suspect who had since fled on foot.

Attending officers provided emergency medical care by applying a chest seal on an adult female victim. She was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.
