Homicide Investigation – C23-286453

Released: November 26, 2023 at 12:02 p.m.

On November 26, 2023, at approximately 4:05 a.m., General Patrol members from Downtown, West District, North District and East District responded to the 100 block of Langside Street for the report of multiple injured people.  

Attending officers located five people with injuries consistent with being shot. An adult male and an adult female were pronounced deceased at the scene. Three additional victims were located and transported to hospital in critical condition. One adult male transported to hospital has since succumbed to his injuries. An adult male and an adult female remain in hospital in critical condition.

The Homicide Unit continues to investigate. The victims' identities are still being confirmed, and notifications are pending.

The Winnipeg Police Service Forensic Services Unit will be on scene for an extended period due to the gravity of this incident.

Limited information will be provided at this time; however, further details will be shared in the coming days as the investigation evolves.
