The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit is investigating two unrelated incidents that occurred in the early hours of November 21, 2023, in the North District.

At approximately 1:45 a.m., General Patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Burrows Avenue for the report of a seriously injured female.
A 20-year-old female victim was transported to hospital in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries.

At approximately 4:50 a.m., General Patrol officers responded to a multi-tenant residence in the 100 block of Selkirk Avenue for the report of a suspicious death. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service was already on scene. Upon their arrival, a deceased male was located, and police were notified.
