On November 5, 2023, at approximately 1:00 a.m., General Patrol officers and Air1 responded to the report of shots fired in the 1800 block of Portage Avenue. 

Attending officers located two adult male victims with injuries consistent with being shot. They were both transported to hospital in critical condition.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. Members of the Forensic Identification Unit remain on scene.
