Sexual Assaults/Indecent Acts – Public Assistance

The Winnipeg Police Service’s Sex Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect wanted for incidents of sexual assault and indecent acts that occurred on October 31, 2023. The incidents occurred between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. and are believed to involve the same suspect.

C23-264734 Indecent Act

- A male entered a restaurant in the 200 block of Portage Avenue, made sexual comments to female staff, and exposed himself. They managed to get him out of the store, safely securing themselves, and police were contacted.

C23-265369 Indecent & Sexual Assault

- An adult female reported that while she was walking in the Skywalk system in the 300 block of Portage Avenue, an unknown male approached her and exposed himself. She safely made it to security and reported the incident.

- A second adult female reported an unknown male touched her in a sexual and inappropriate manner while she left a business in the 300 block of Portage Avenue.

C23-264765 Sexual Assault

- Two adult females walking on campus in the 500 block of Portage Avenue were confronted by a male suspect who exposed himself and assaulted both females on the ground, then fled on foot. Neither victim required medical attention and reported the incident to police. 

C23-264791 Sexual Assault

- An adult female reported being touched in a sexual and inappropriate manner by an unknown male while she was shopping at a store in the 200 block of Portage Avenue.

The male suspect is described as follows:

- In his 20’s
- Fair complexion
- Slim build
- Clean shaven

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to contact the Sex Crimes Unit at 204-986-6245 or 911 if seen within the immediate vicinity or anonymously at Crime Stoppers 204-786-TIPS or winnipegcrimestoppers.org
