Assault with a Weapon – Arrest: C23-262061

Released: October 29, 2023 at 1:52 p.m.

On October 28, 2023, at approximately 11:30 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service attending an unrelated medical call for service at a residence in the 300 block of Manitoba Avenue, summoned the Winnipeg Police Service after being approached by a male exiting the residence suffering from a gunshot wound.

North District General Patrol officers, assisted by members of the Tactical Support Team, attended and located a 41-year-old male victim suffering from a lower-body gunshot injury. Officers provided emergency medical care to the victim by applying a tourniquet. The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. No arrests have been made.
