Mischief to Property/Warrants – Arrest: C23-253219

On October 18, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m., West District Community Support Unit members of the Winnipeg Police Service, on foot patrol downtown, observed an adult male attempting to steal a locked bicycle in the 200 block of Vaughan Street.

Officers immediately arrested the suspect without incident, as he was actively attempting to cut the bike lock. Further investigation by officers also revealed an unendorsed warrant of arrest in the suspect’s name for Robbery x 2.

Harry Andrew BITTERN, 32, of Berens River, MB, is charged with the following offences:

- Mischief Under $5,000/Obstruct in Enjoyment

- Possession of Break-In Instrument(s)

- Warrant (Unendorsed, Robbery x 2)

He was detained in custody.
