Robbery with Weapons – Arrest: C23-245584

On October 9, 2023, at approximately 7:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a teenage male who had been robbed of his property while waiting at a bus stop at Fort Street and Graham Avenue.

The victim, in his teens, was confronted by a group of unknown individuals wearing face masks. While brandishing guns and knives, they threatened to kill him, stole his property, and fled on foot. 

General Patrol officers in the Central District area responded to a similar call for service nearby with similar suspect descriptions. A short foot pursuit occurred, and one of the suspects discarded a firearm. He was taken into custody in a park nearby while the other suspects continued to flee. There were no reported injuries, and the firearm was a BB gun.

A 17-year-old male from outside of Winnipeg was charged with the following offences:

- Armed Robbery using a Firearm

- Pointing a Firearm

- Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition

- Disguise with Intent

- Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm

He was detained in youth custody.
