On October 26, 2022, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a sexual assault on an adult female on board a transit bus.

Officers met with a then 23-year-old female victim who provided an initial report:

At approximately 9:15 a.m., she was on a transit bus in the Portage Place area when an unknown male sat beside her. He unexpectedly touched her in an inappropriate sexual manner. The victim also disclosed she recognized the male from a previous similar incident on a transit bus in August of 2022. She was not physically injured during either incident.

As a result of a lengthy investigation, members of the Sex Crimes Unit obtained the following images of the suspect:

The suspect is described as:

- A black male in his mid to late 50’s
- Approximately 6’ in height
- Short black hair, balding, moustache
- Heavy build
- Wears prescription glasses

As some time has passed since the incidents, the suspect’s appearance may have changed.

Investigators continue to investigate both incidents and are requesting the public’s assistance with information regarding the suspect's identity. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sex Crimes Unit at 204-986-2987 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
