Update:

On July 5, 2023, the Homicide Unit arrested 27-year-old Keith Michael MCKAY near Main Street and Jarvis Avenue. MCKAY has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder in connection with the death of Vincent Brian KIPLING (31) on May 10, 2023.

He has been detained in custody.

 

As previously released:

On May 10, 2023, at approximately 10:50 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Stella Avenue and Main Street for the report of an injured male.

District 3 General Patrol officers attended, located the victim and performed emergency CPR. The adult male was transported to hospital in critical condition and later pronounced deceased.

Vincent Brian KIPLING, 31, of Winnipeg, has been identified as the deceased. Autopsy results are pending.

On May 29, 2023, the Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU), arrested 38-year-old Aaron Wayne AZURE in the North Point Douglas neighbourhood. AZURE was wanted on the strength of a warrant for the murder of Vincent Brian KIPLING.

He has been charged with Manslaughter and detained in custody.
