Public Assistance – Stolen Pistols Investigation: C23-156701

On June 29, 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service was alerted to a commercial break and enter in the 100 block of Meade Street North.

The Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation and learned that a pair of antique pistols were stolen between June 25 and June 28, 2023.

The pistols are described as follows:

- Pair of “Rothe Kilkeny Flinlock” dueling pistols (serial numbers: 988.2.6a/988.2.6b, valued at approximately $6,200)
- Approximately 10.5 inches in length
- Half-stock
- Horn fore-ends
- Finger spur on trigger guards
- Single gold barrel band

While still operational, they require a musket ball as ammunition in order to fire. No ammunition was stolen in connection with this incident.

The Major Crimes Unit is continuing with the investigation. Anyone with information that could lead to the recovery of the pistols is asked to call investigators at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
