Homicide Investigation – Public Assistance: C23-154514

On June 26, 2023, at approximately 9:20 a.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to a medical incident in the 100 block of Henry Avenue. Attending WFPS members located a deceased person within a suite of a multi-room residence and advised police.

Central District General Patrol officers attended and confirmed the presence of a deceased adult female in one of the suites. The female was transported to hospital, and an autopsy was conducted. Her death has been deemed a homicide.

The Homicide Unit assumed the investigation and has now identified the victim as Falin JOHNSTON (28), of Winnipeg. Notifications to the family have been made.

An adult female suspect believed to be involved in the incident has also been identified through the investigation.

Rebecca Marina FLETT (40), of Winnipeg, is wanted in connection with this incident and is believed to be evading police.

FLETT is described as follows:

- Indigenous
- Approximately 5’4” in height
- Approximately 160 lbs

- Medium build
- Long brown hair (length and colour may have been altered)
