On June 24, 2023, at approximately 12:25 a.m., the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and Winnipeg Police Service members responded to the back lane of the 700 block of Wellington Avenue regarding a stabbing. 

An adult male with multiple injuries was located and transported to hospital in unstable condition, later upgraded to stable.

The investigation has revealed that an altercation involving the victim may have occurred at the rear of the 800 block of Home Street.

No arrests have been made.

The Major Crimes Unit continues the investigation. Anyone with information or video surveillance that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
