Update:

On June 21, 2023, The Winnipeg Police Service's Missing Persons Unit requested public assistance in identifying a male who succumbed due to a medical distress incident on May 31, 2023, in the 600 block of Sherburn Street.

Investigators have now made an identification through a composite sketch and a physical description of the male provided to the media and the public. Notifications to the family have been made.

Investigators would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter. Further information will not be provided to respect the family's privacy and provide them an opportunity for closure.

 

As previously released:

On May 31, 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to an individual in medical distress in the 600 block of Sherburn Street. A male was transported to hospital and passed away; however, his identity remains unknown. 

The incident is not considered suspicious or criminal in nature.

Investigators in the Missing Persons Unit have attempted to identify this person through numerous investigative avenues, including sharing information with community-based groups and other law enforcement agencies.

A composite sketch has been created to help raise the public's awareness in hopes of identifying this male and notifying his family.
