On June 21, 2023, at approximately 8:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service observed a wanted male frequenting an eating establishment in the 1100 block of Main Street.
Community Support Unit officers from the North District approached the male, confirmed his identity, and placed him under arrest without incident after confirming a warrant in his name.
Officers seized the following property as evidence after a search of his person and personal property:
- Loaded Sawed-off .22 Calibre Semi-Automatic Rifle
- 10-round Magazine with Ammunition
- .22 Caliber rounds Ammunition x 51
- Approximately 5 Grams of Fentanyl (Estimated Street Value = $750)
- Approximately 3 Grams of Crack Cocaine (Estimated Street Value = $300)
- 9 Percocet Prescription Pills (Estimated Street Value = $180)
- Approximately $660 CDN Currency

Paul Joseph Duclos, 33, of Winnipeg, is charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
- Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 2
- Warrant (Fail to Comply with Probation Order x 3)
He was detained in custody.
