Aggravated Assault – Investigation: C23-148814

On June 20, 2023, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to multiple calls of firearm shots heard near Ellice Avenue and Agnes Street.

General Patrol from the Central District located a 20-year-old male victim at a residence in the 400 block of Victor Street, suffering from apparent gunshot injuries to the upper body. Officers provided emergency medical care to the victim until paramedics arrived. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. The suspects fled on foot before police arrived.

No arrests have been made, and the Major Crimes Unit has assumed the investigation.
