Homicide – Arrest: C23-110113

Update:

On May 29, 2023, the Homicide Unit, with the assistance of the Manitoba Integrated Violent Offender Apprehension Unit (MIVOAU), arrested 38-year-old Aaron Wayne AZURE in the North Point Douglas neighbourhood. AZURE was wanted on the strength of a warrant for the murder of Vincent Brian KIPLING.

He has been charged with Manslaughter and detained in custody.

The Homicide Unit would like to thank the public for assisting in this investigation.

This investigation is continuing by the Homicide Unit; anyone with information is asked to call investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS.

As previously released:

On May 10, 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service issued a media release regarding the murder of Vincent Brian KIPLING, a 31-year-old male of Winnipeg. At approximately 10:50 p.m., on the 10th, KIPLING was located in the area of Stella Avenue and Main Street with serious injuries. He was transported to hospital and succumbed to his injuries. 

The Homicide Unit continued the investigation and established a suspect, but his whereabouts remain unknown at this time. 

Investigators seek the public’s assistance in locating the suspect, Aaron Wayne AZURE, a 38-year-old male who is wanted for Manslaughter.
