Released: May 16, 2023 at 11:18 a.m.

On May 13, 2023, at approximately 9:45 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 400 block of Ferry Road for the report of a theft in progress of property from an enclosed trailer.

General Patrol officers from the West District attended and spoke with the 39-year-old male victim, who advised that he interrupted four male suspects stealing property (construction tools) from his enclosed trailer. The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and recovered some of the stolen property through subsequent search warrant execution of the vehicle and a linked residence. The value of the recovered stolen property is estimated at $30,000.
