Stabbing – Investigation: C23-104655

On May 4, 2023, just after 11:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a stabbing in a schoolyard in the Wolseley neighbourhood.

The victim, a 15-year-old male, made his way to the 600 block of Clifton Street, where a resident contacted emergency services. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable condition.

Investigators in the Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation and determined the youth had become involved in a confrontation with a group of youths near the school. The incident escalated to him being stabbed, and the suspects fled.
