Firearm – Arrest: C23-87607

Released: April 18, 2023 at 10:15 a.m.

On April 16, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m., North District Community Support officers conducted a traffic stop involving a taxi in the 400 block of Dufferin Avenue.

An adult male and female passenger were identified and taken into custody. A male in his 50s is facing charges of possessing a sawed-off shotgun and ammunition.

- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized

- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition

- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 3

He was released on an Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.

The female was released with no charges.
