Shooting – Arrests C23-83011

On April 11, 2023, at approximately 5:30 p.m., General Patrol members were approached by an injured male while in the 500 block of Furby Street.

The adult male was observed to have sustained an injury to his lower body consistent with being shot and an upper-body injury requiring officers to provide emergency medical care, including a tourniquet and dressing.

The 38-year-old male victim was transported to hospital in critical condition and later upgraded to stable.

The investigation revealed that the victim was visiting a suite in the 500 block of Furby Street when a verbal dispute erupted involving a male and female. The incident escalated when an adult female armed herself with a firearm and shot the victim in the lower body. An adult male then armed himself with an edged weapon and assaulted the victim to the upper body causing multiple injuries.

The victim fled the area, at which time police were flagged down.

A short time later, investigating members located the suspects, and they were placed under arrest.

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation.

Kayleigh ROULETTE, 22 years old of Winnipeg and Tyrone BEAULIEU, 28 years old of Winnipeg, has been charged with numerous weapon-related offences.

Both were detained in custody.
