As previously released:

The Winnipeg Police Service recently issued two media releases seeking the public’s assistance to identify a suspect in a robbery/assault on March 17 in front of the Kennedy Street entrance of the Provincial Law Courts Building.

A 20-year-old female victim was followed and subsequently grabbed from behind by an unknown male. While on the ground, the suspect touched her lower body. The victim screamed, and the suspect fled on foot. She was transported to hospital in stable condition and treated for minor injuries.

Update:

The Sex Crimes Unit continued investigating this incident, and a 26-year-old male suspect was identified.

On April 4, 2023, he was arrested in the 200 block of St. Johns Avenue.

He is facing charges of Robbery and Sexual Assault, and was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
