Homicide - Investigation: C23-55345

As previously released:

On March 9, 2023, at approximately 10:45 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a multi-room residence in the 600 block of Main Street at the request of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS), attending to a medical call for service.

The attending Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service members located a deceased 33-year-old male within a suite and contacted the police. General Patrol officers from the Central District attended and advised the Major Crimes Unit, which is investigating the incident as a suspicious death.


Update:

Members of the Major Crimes Unit continued the investigation and have now identified the victim as 33-year-old Treymaine TRAVERSE of Winnipeg.

His death is now being investigated as a homicide. No arrests have been made.
