Shootings – Investigation: C23-65356

Released: March 22, 2023 at 1:10 p.m.

On March 21, 2023, at 9:00 a.m., Central District General Patrol members, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, responded to the Spence neighbourhood after numerous calls were received for shots in the area.

Upon arrival, officers located a residence in the 500 block of Langside Street that had sustained damage from a shooting. Several occupants were inside, including an infant; however, no injuries were reported.

Officers also located a residence in the 500 block of Maryland Street that had sustained damage from a shooting. The house was found to be unoccupied.

It is believed that the two shootings are related.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
