Robbery - Arrest: C23-65008

On March 19, 2023, at approximately 8:15 p.m., General Patrol Officers from the North District responded to a robbery where a female victim was assaulted in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue.

Officers met with the victim, in her 20s, who indicated she was walking along Pritchard Avenue when an unknown male confronted her and demanded money. The victim observed a machete and bear spray in his waistband and handed over her money. She was subsequently punched in the face causing a minor injury. The suspect fled and entered a nearby residence.

Police located him hiding inside the residence, where he was taken into custody.

A 16-year-old male from Winnipeg was charged with Robbery, Failing to Comply with Release Order x 2, and detained in custody as mandated by the Criminal Code.
