Indecent Act – Arrest: C23-60468

Released: March 17, 2023 at 3:04 p.m.

On March 15, 2023, at 1:24 p.m., North District General Patrol members responded to the 200 block of Church Avenue for a report that a male driver of a vehicle had committed an indecent act in front of two preteen-aged school safety patrollers.

At approximately 2:15 p.m., officers located the vehicle driving near Atlantic Avenue and McGregor Street. The car was stopped, and the driver was taken into custody.

Later, the Winnipeg Police Service received a report that the male in the vehicle had committed an additional incident act just before the first incident when he confronted a preteen walking in the 400 block of Church Avenue.

The Child Abuse Unit continued with the investigation.

A 17-year-old male of Winnipeg has been charged with:

- Indecent Exposure to a Person Under 16yrs of Age x 3

He was later released on a Release Order with conditions (as mandated by the Criminal Code).
