Commercial Robbery – Investigation: C23-60866

Released: March 16, 2023 at 11:15 a.m.

On March 15, 2023, at 9:25 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a store in the 200 block of Watt Street for a report of a male who had fired a gun while robbing the business. The male then fled on foot.

Numerous units, including AIR1, attended the scene.

It is believed that a masked suspect entered the store and chose several items. While checking out, he pointed a gun at a female employee and fired the weapon to her side. He then stole an undisclosed amount of money and product. The employee did not suffer any physical injuries.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Major Crimes Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
