On March 10, 2023, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a female who had been threatened at knifepoint by an unknown male while she was walking near Mandalay Drive and Rolmount Road.
The victim, in her 20s, was approached by a male who asked for directions. During their conversation, he pointed a knife at her and uttered sexually explicit language. She pushed away to escape and sustained a minor injury from the blade.
The suspect is described as an adult male in his 20s with an Indigenous appearance. He was wearing dark clothing with a black surgical mask.
The Sex Crimes Unit has taken over this investigation.
