On March 7, 2023, at approximately 6:00 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the report of a shooting in the 400 block of Beverley Street.

With the assistance of the K9 Unit, General Patrol members arrived on scene and ensured safety in the area. Two adult victims were located with gunshot wounds. One female was deceased, and a second victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time.
