Carjacking – Investigation: C23-29234

On February 6, 2023, at approximately 12:45 a.m., officers from the West District, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit and the K9 Unit, responded to a carjacking involving a firearm at a hotel parking lot in the 700 block of King Edward Street.

A male and female in their 50s and 60s were sitting in their truck when an unknown male and female approached the vehicle and asked for a smoke. The male pointed a firearm at the victims, instructing them to exit the vehicle. They complied and were not physically injured; the suspects fled in the stolen vehicle. 

The male suspect was described as a slim Indigenous male, approximately 25 years old. He was wearing a long dark jacket, black hoodie, and black pants with a camo neck warmer over his face.

The female was described as wearing all black.

The stolen vehicle is described as a grey Dodge Ram 1500, ST Crew Cab.

The vehicle occupants may be armed, do not approach; call 911.
