On December 19, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Winnipeg Police Service Central District General Patrol officers observed a fight at St. Matthews Avenue and Maryland Street involving an adult female suspect armed with a hammer.

Officers approached the suspect, directed her to drop the hammer, and immediately placed her under arrest without incident. Officers seized the hammer and a knife from the suspect.
