Drug Trafficking – Arrests: C22-291665

In December 2022, the Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit entered into a drug trafficking investigation within the Buchannan neighborhood.

On December 17, 2022, members of the Guns & Gang Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of Isbister Street. Officers placed an adult male under arrest without incident.

As a result of this investigation, the following items were seized:

  • Approximately 6.6 ounces of Cocaine (estimated street value of $13,000)
  • Approximately 2 pounds of Psilocybin (Mushrooms) (estimated street value of $4,000)
  • Approximately 19.5 pounds of Marijuana (estimated street value of $49,000)
  • Approximately 7 ounces of Ecstasy (estimated street value of $3,500)
  • Approximately 99 x (300 mg) packages of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) edibles (estimated street value of $2,000)
  • Approximately 34 x (5 gram) packages of Psilocybin edibles
  • Approximately 67 x (2 gram) packages of Psilocybin edibles

(estimated street value of all the Psilocybin edibles is $3,000)

  • Drug scales x 2
  • Drug press
  • Scoresheets
  • $7,540 in Canadian currency

A 45-year-old male from Winnipeg is facing the following charges:

  • Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x 3
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • Possession for the Purpose of Distributing Cannabis

He was released on an Appearance Notice as mandated by the Criminal Code.
