Homicide – Arrest: C22-185714

As previously released:

On August 16, 2022, at approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the 600 block of Cathedral Avenue for a report of a suspicious death.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male inside a residence. His death is believed to be a homicide.

The victim has been identified as Pajo “Paul” RADOCAJ, an 83-year-old male of Winnipeg.

The Homicide Unit is continuing this investigation.

Update:

On December 6, 2022, members of the Homicide Unit arrested and charged a 60-year-old male Roman DEMCZYSZAK, of Winnipeg, with Second Degree Murder, and he was detained in custody.

The two were not believed to have previously known each other but met through acquaintances when the victim was assaulted.
