Aggravated Assaults – Arrests: C22-266185

The Major Crimes Unit is continuing an investigation involving five suspects arrested after three youths and an adult male were seriously assaulted.

On November 14, 2022, at approximately 7:15 p.m., General Patrol officers, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, responded to the report of three teens assaulted with a machete in the 600 block of Sherbrook Street by a group of youths.

Several minutes later, another report was received about a victim in his 40s attacked by a group of youths in the first 100 block of Juno Steet.

The three 15-year-old victims (two males and one female) were all transported to Children’s in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable condition. The adult was transported to a hospital in unstable condition and upgraded to stable condition.

Officers located the five suspects in the Centennial neighbourhood, south of William Avenue.

One adult (an 18-year-old male, Creed Ethan William BALLANTYNE-HART)and four youth males aged 12 to 17 years were charged with the following offences:
 
- Aggravated Assault x 3
- Assault

They were all detained in custody.
