On November 6, 2022, at approximately 10:45 p.m., West District General Patrol members, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Team, responded to the first 100 block of Kingston Row for the report of a male assaulted during a carjacking.

Officers met the victim, in his 40s, who was injured and reported being struck by a weapon. He was transported to a hospital via ambulance in stable condition.

Police learned three suspicious males were skulking around the neighbourhood, trying residential door handles and rummaging through vehicles. The victim confronted the suspects and was subsequently attacked. They stole his car keys and fled in his vehicle.

One of the suspects was reported to have been armed with a handgun.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over this investigation. No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information or home video surveillance in this neighbourhood is asked to contact the Major Crimes Unit at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
