Weekend Incidents

During the weekend of November 4 and November 6, 2022, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the following noted incidents:

- C22-257928: On November 4, at approximately 6:45 p.m., officers from the North District responded to the 800 block of Keewatin Street for the report of a robbed male. Officers located a 24-yr-old male who had sustained an upper-body injury. He was transported to hospital in unstable condition with upper body injuries and later upgraded to stable. It is believed several suspects approached the male, attacked him with a knife, and robbed him of his property before fleeing on foot. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating.

- C22-257324: On November 4, at approximately 5:30 a.m., officers from the Central District responded to the Health Sciences Centre for the report of a female who had been shot. Officers located a 27-year-old female in stable condition who had sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim declined further police assistance. No arrests have been made.

- C22-258225: On November 5, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers from the North District, assisted by Air1, responded to a business in the 600 block of Sheppard Street for the report of two males who had been assaulted. Officers located a 64-year-old male and a 44-year-old male who had sustained upper-body injuries. Both victims received medical attention at the scene for their injuries. It is believed the suspects attended to the property and physically assaulted the victims without provocation before fleeing with property. No arrests have been made. The Major Crimes Unit is investigating.

- C22-259134: On November 6, at approximately 1:41 a.m., officers from the North District responded to the 800 block of Main Street for the report of a male who had been stabbed. Officers located a 25-year-old male who had sustained stab wounds to the upper body. Officers provided emergency medical care with the use of chest seals. The victim was transported to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable. The victim declined further police assistance, and no arrests have been made.
