On October 31, 2022, at 4:19 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a residence in the 800 block of Mountain Avenue for a report of a male armed with a firearm.

It is believed that a male, known to the occupants, had discharged a firearm from within the house. No injuries were reported, but the male would not let the occupants leave and demanded that they stay in the room. The male later fled on foot.

At approximately 4:44 a.m., a male suspect was taken into custody in the area of College Avenue and Artillery Street with the assistance of the K9 Unit.

The firearm (believed to be involved in the incident) has not been recovered.

North District General Patrol members continued with the investigation.

Jordan James Rudolph, a 25-year-old male of Winnipeg, has been charged with:

- Forcible Confinement (x3)
- Discharge a Firearm in a Reckless Manner
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order
- Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Discharge a Restricted Firearm or a Prohibited Firearm with Intent

He was detained in custody.
